Most people would have written off this car when surveying the damage it sustained during a barn fire in Stellenbosch. The cockpit was a sorry sight and frankly considering the market value of similar cars it was a bridge too far for all but the team at SGCC. An initial forensic examination by the partners revealed no structural damage only cosmetic, so the car was purchased and restoration commenced. As an in-house project, it was born again with final livery of Old English White paintwork complimented with beautiful ox-blood leather upholstery. The mechanicals were completely overhauled and a ground up nut and bolt restoration was carried out. For the intrepid traveller a stainless steel boot rack was manufactured.
